Dave should host SNL
We’ve all said it; thought it…I mean, when I think of Dave as a stand-up comedian, I never really thought of him as a prop guy, but whatever gets the laughs, you know?
I’ve been in the SNL audience the past several times that Dave has been on (Them Crooked Vultures, Foo Fighters) so personally I was bummed out last night that I wasn’t there to witness it live, but I really can’t complain. The past few years in terms of seeing Dave live have been, to say the least, amazing.
Which leads me to this:
This month marks 8 years that this website has been online. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for even bothering to look at it even once. I mean that. I’ve made a ton of friends from all over the world…I’ve traveled to places that I never thought I would and I hope to continue to do that in the future and meet even more of you. The opportunities that I have had because of this place are so overwhelming to me. Thank you Dave. Thank you so much. *HUG*
I know that I have not spent much time here since the Birthday Book in January and that a lot of you have been kind enough to contact me to ask if all was ok. Yes, and no. I’m still in Texas and I’m still looking for work in California. I’m trying to stay positive, but the reality is sinking in quick. It might not happen. I have to keep my options open and it might be that I might end up returning to the Dallas area. I’m a little heart-broken over that, but that’s life, you know? It doesn’t always work out as we plan. I never really had a hard time finding a job; in fact, the longest period of time I was ever out of work (before the current streak) was 2 weeks and that was excruciating. I’m not good at not working. Factor in I’m not getting any younger..and, well, I have a lot to think about. Maybe I should go back to school… all of those thoughts that run through your head in desperate times.
Now that I’ve completely made Dave’s website all about me, I want to assure you that in the end, I will be fine. I’m tough, and somehow I’ll find a way. So thanks for your encouragement and notes and just for caring about me.
And as I say each year, I look forward to another year here, being the head cheerleader for all things Dave. Thanks, everyone.
Oh, and if you need a personal assistant in the LA area, let me know. Except for you, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, and Tara Reid types.
