So you know what that means…. time for our annual Birthday Book!

This year was the biggest year yet for the birthday book, so thank you to everyone that contributed.  You kept me quite busy, but it’s always so much fun to see what you create for Dave each year. Extra thanks to Elle in Germany for the graphics for the book and to Stella & Karina in Brazil for translating!  I originally said out loud that it would be cool to get 300 entries… and from the ‘careful what you wish for’ department we ended up just shy of 400.  That’s INSANE. Head’s up: One entry has a link to a YouTube birthday message & another has a link to a ‘High School’ Year Book….don’t miss them!

Don’t forget – we’re going for World-Wide Trending of #HappyBirthdayDaveGrohl so insert that tag into every tweet you write. It’s already trending in Brazil & the UK.

Happy Birthday, Dave!!

I’m not going to lie….this particular birthday book kicked my ass this year, but it was well worth it!

Thanks(as always)to my good friend Kevin for helping me with the photoshop pictures for my entry.

Thanks to my sister Liz who came up with the Birthday Book “theme” this year on a trip to Maine where I somewhat panicked over what I was going to do.

Extra special thanks to my friend Elle over there in Germany who designed the backgrounds and all of the birthday book announcements etc. that you’ve seen around the site. She’s so talented and always so willing to help me out at a moment’s notice. I appreciate everything that you do for me and the website, Elle.

And thanks to all of the fans that helped contribute to the birthday book! It’s always so much fun to check my e mail and see the new designs and wishes and letters sent in for Dave.

Another year, another birthday book! Hard to believe it’s January again, but this time we’re celebrating Dave’s Big 4-0!!

I want to thank everyone who contributed and took the time to write down or create a birthday wish to Dave. This has always been about giving everyone a chance to tell Dave happy birthday in their own special way. It amazes me year after year the unique and special entries that land in my e mail every day.

Special thanks to all those who offered up extra help to me when I stressed out on the FF board about it … I appreciate all of the offers. I will seek special therapy soon. Something somewhere is not right! ;-p

As always, thanks to my friend Kevin who ended up creating my entry for me (Just the graphics part. The rest is ME!) And thanks so much to my friend Elle in Germany (EllyPirelly on the FF board) for creating the above graphic, the banners and the frames for the letters to Dave. Beautiful work as always!

So without further ado, Happy Birthday, Dave – from your fans and from me. And I think I speak for everyone when I say don’t be gone from us for too long. We’re patiently waiting for new music!

Happy Birthday, DAVE!!!! I had a realllllllly long paragraph written out, but decided I should just shut up with the rambling and get on to the sweet birthday love. I do have to say the following though…

Thanks to the beautiful Kelly in Australia who hooked us up with the entry page image. She’s always there to help me out and I appreciate it so much. The same goes for my friend Kevin who went WELL beyond my wishes and really made my contribution come to life.

Normally I would put all the fans wishes first before mine, but seriously, I’ve been working on this thing since November and driving my friends nuts with it (as you will see) so I’m going first this year. There is a link to the fans wishes at the bottom of my page and as always there will be a permanent link in the photos section.
