‘To Be the Best’ is the first single from the new Tenacious D album ‘Rize Of The Fenix’ available May 15.  Dave appears in the new video. Here are a few screen shots below along with the video.  I am totally being honest when I say that my mom asked me the other day ‘Whatever happened to Val Kilmer??’ and I told her he disappeared off the face of the earth.  This was while she was flipping TV channels and ended up on the movie “Tombstone”.  Leave it to the D to bring Doc Holliday back. ;-p

I wanted to put out a few reminders of some things coming up that you don’t want to miss.

Rising Son / The Legend of Skateborder Christian Hosoi soundtrack will be available on November 14. The album features a new song by Dave called “Vile”. If you need more information, you can read about the soundtrack at Amazon.com (they have the song listed as “Vice” instead of “Vile”).

Skin & Bones, the acoustic Foo Fighters CD was released on November 7. There will also be a DVD called Skin & Bones which will be released on November 28.

Don’t forget that Dave will be presenting at the American Music Awards on November 21 at 8pm Eastern time. I’m not sure if he’ll perform, but Tenacious D will so you never know what might happen.

Speaking of Tenacious D, their movie Tenacious D In: The Pick of Destiny is released on November 22, and Dave appears as the devil in the film. We have a few pictures in our photos section under “Special Events / Awards Evenings” of Dave at the premiere.

RetroCrush.com has named Tenacious D’s song ‘Tribute’ as one of the top 50 Song Moments of all time.. so you know what that means.. I had to get off of my ass and update the Tenacious D section of our board. Remember I said this was a work in progress so not all of the bands in the band section are completely finished. Good God, there are only so many hours in the day and when you’re in 150 different bands because everyone wants you to play on their albums because you kick that much ass..I can’t keep up sometimes. At any rate, you can check out that newly finished page and feel the power of the D. I’ve had the opportunity to see them live twice and they definitely rocked my socks off.

I have yet to see these online yet, and it’s such a shame because my friends, it’s every bit of Dave-a-licious. This is what happens when I get a little extra money in my pocket and decide to fork it over for a video capture card. Now here’s the rules.. I don’t mind you stealing the pics… ’cause anyone in their right mind WOULD, but for crying out loud, give me a little credit for them.. and please don’t link from this website if you’re posting them at other places.
