I think that I’ve mentioned a few times before that I’m a freak for the gig posters and when I saw this one I lost my freakin’ mind:

My friend Elle in Germany (graphic designer for this website!) was at the ‘Them Crooked Vultures’ concert in Berlin the other night and was kind enough to send along these photos. Enjoy, and thanks, Elle! Glad you had such a great time.

First of all, Happy Thanksgiving to my American brothers & sisters. This year I am thankful for family, beautiful friends, and all of the wonderful opportunities that I’ve had this year in regards to this website. Thank you, everyone for continuing to support the insanity here. 😉

Let’s see…where to begin? This is a long update:

Sometimes when you go to Them Crooked Vultures concerts in Seattle, WA and you wave at someone, they wave back at you (which is REALLY cool because the trip was your birthday gift) and what’s even cooler is when someone snaps the photo for you because you were too busy getting your ass kicked in the mosh pit/front row:

I want to say that my friend Linda and I stood firm and all you 20-somethings that went over the barrier – you’re lightweights. Sure, I’m black & blue from my neck down, but that’s the way you do it, you know? I think New Kids on the Block probably said it best when they said “Hang Tough”, right? Pfft, you kids who couldn’t take it were probably AT NKOTB concerts recently. Why am I talking about NKOTB?

Here are some of Linda & my photos from Seattle. Again, I apologize because they are not the best quality and they are few. Ass. Kicked. Front Row. Kind of hard to hold a camera still and focus.

Here are some other photos from Seattle (not mine, obviously)

Shelley from Q Magazine e mailed to say that Dave will be featured on their next cover as part of their “Artists of the Century” edition. You can click on the images below to enlarge and you can read HERE what Shelley sent over.

Wow. Amy Winehouse has some big ol’ boobies now.

Ross Halfin took the following photos of Dave for the upcoming Mojo magazine feature (I believe it is now in stores). Credit for these goes to Paul over at FooArchive.com

Krista sent over this link to listen to “Them Crooked Vultures” on Rockline.

Don’t forget that VH1’s Storytellers featuring Foo Fighters is on this Friday at 11pm Eastern (New York) time. Half of the Foo Fighters postboard was in attendance. Should be fun to try to spot the Foo Fans.

And last, but certainly not least, make sure to check back later this weekend as I’ll have up the rules for Dave’s annual Birthday Book & contest. I have the grand prize now and our birthday books are always a lot of fun. This is your chance to tell Dave Happy Birthday and how much you *gasp* adore and love him. Nerds.
